Tow Bar for the DG-1001M
During the DG-1001M test programme, we had to do a lot of ground handling with our demonstrator.
While rigging and de-rigging, manoeuvring in the hangar or taxiing on the airfield, we realized that a tow-bar, as used on powered aeroplanes would be very useful. The steerable tail-wheel together with the wing-wheel can easily be used for such a tow-bar.
Our employee who manufactures various devices and jigs, Roland Wolf, has designed such a tow bar. It allows us to manoeuvre our new flagship without assistance and also ensures that the tail-wheel stays in the trailer’s rail.
Afterwards, it can be dismantled into two pieces for easy transportation.
If our customers are interested, we are thinking of producing a small series of these devices. We can make them for both the DG-808 and the DG-1001M.
